D.C. - DAY TWO

Day two in D.C. was dedicated to the town's historical check points.

The National Archive Museum is home to the Declaration of Independence, Constitution of the United States, the Bill of Rights and Spirted Republic (an exhibit on Alchohol in American History).

The contruction of the U.S. Capital began in 1793. Since then, its been built up, burnt down, extended, restored and all in between. If you care, take a look at this video. https://youtu.be/jmo-A_8HoOM

If I was Ice Cube or George Clinton, I would paint the white house black. If I was Will Smith, I would try to save it from aliens on July 4th. Instead, I ran around the block and snapped this picture on my morning run.

Abraham Lincoln is the nation's 16th Pres, but he is my #1 POTUS. The memorial was dedicated in 1922. The five dollar bill and the one cent bares the same design by Henrey Bacon.

Founded in 1789, Georgetown Uni is the oldest Catholic/Jesuit institutions in America.

My Dad looks on-point in this picture. But who am I to point fingers?

Beyond the sites above, we also saw the U.S. Congress, U.S. Botanic Garden, U.S. Supreme Court, the Pentagon, Iwo Jima Memorial and the Arlington National Cemetery.
