On Saturday October 10th, I poured beer at the annual Tap & Cheers BAM (Beer, Art, & Music) Festival presented by Whole Foods Market in Santa Monica.
Over 100 beers were available from more than 40 local and national breweries. I was stationed at The Dudes Brewery, which is located in North Torrance. I poured the South Bay Session IPA and the Kolshtal Eddy Blond Ale. Below are the tasting notes from the brewery's website:
SOUTH BAY SESSION INDIA PALE ALE Description: Tasty waves, tasty brews. That’s how we roll here in SoCal. At just 5.0% ABV, Session goes down smooth, with just the right combination of sexy hops to satisfy your inner beer geek. Clean, bright, and fresh, this easy going Dude is the perfect wingman or wingwoman for any occasion.
KOLSCHTAL EDDY BLONDE ALE Description: June gloom got you down? We know, life in SoCal can be so hard. Cheer up buttercup, Kolschtal Eddy is here to make it all better. Clear bodied with a straw-yellow hue, this brew is an easy going Dude, but still has a little “hop” in his step. One sip, and you’ll realize life isn’t so bad.
If you ever have a moment in Santa Monica, please check out 18th Street Arts Centera, which is non-profit artist residency center.

The next time you are in the Santa Monica, I highly recommend a stop at the 18th Street Arts Center, a non-profit artist residency center to support art, culture and community.
